This week we will continue our study of Their Eyes Were Watching God, focusing on figurative language, context, and symbolism. Chapter 7 ended with Janie finally finding her voice and speaking up to Joe in the store. You will see an end to this conflict in chapter 8 and the introduction of a new character, Tea Cake, by the end of the week.
